About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floor Layer to join our Repairs and Maintenance team, delivering high-quality flooring works across our social housing stock. You’ll play a key role in improving the homes of Nottingham residents, ensuring safety, comfort, and long-lasting finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Install a wide range of floor coverings including vinyl, carpets, laminate, and safety flooring.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and repairing subfloors as needed.
Work within occupied and void properties, maintaining professionalism and care.
Ensure all work is completed to high standards, within health & safety guidelines.
Collaborate with other trades as part of our multi-skilled team.
Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience as a floor layer, ideally in social housing or similar environments.
Knowledge of flooring materials and preparation techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service approach, especially when working in tenant homes.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering or equivalent.
CSCS Card.
Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
