Job Description
Position: FLT Counterbalance Driver
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (leading to a Permanent role)
Salary: £30,158 per annum (£12.21 per hour, annual salary as all breaks are paid £30,158 / weekly £579 per week)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00 with all breaks paid
Location: Hinckley LE10
Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a thriving and expanding company based at their warehouse in Hinckley (LE10)
This is a hands on, varied Goods In/Goods Out FLT / Van Driving role that involves operating an FLT C/B Truck to unload trailers, move pallets into designated locations, and support general warehouse duties. When not on the FLT, you will be required to order pick, scan and print labels, and assist with general despatch duties.
You will also be required to drive the company van for local deliveries, so a UK Driving Licence and an externally accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Unloading deliveries and moving stock using FLT equipment
• Receiving goods and checking for damage or shortages
• Order picking and packing items for customer orders
• Loading goods safely for dispatch
• Carrying out local deliveries using the company van
• Stock control using handheld scanners and internal systems
• Maintaining accurate records and paperwork
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and health & safety compliant
Candidate Requirements:
• Valid UK Clean Driving Licence (essential) as you will be driving the company vehicle
• Externally accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence (essential)
• Positive attitude, reliable, and hardworking
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety
• Able to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Willing to use initiative and take responsibility for tasks
• Basic literacy and numeracy
