Job Description
Job Title: Yard Person with FLT Licence and Driving Licence
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire, WF10
Contract Type: Long-Term Ongoing (Potential for Permanent Role)
Hourly Rate: £12.95 + Overtime
Manpower is currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Person / Shunter with a valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (ideally double handler) and a Full UK Driving Licence to join our client's team in Castleford, West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, long-term work with the potential for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading & Unloading (60%): Safely and efficiently load/unload pallets from trucks.
Yard & Shunting Duties: Maintain yard organisation and assist with shunting vehicles or trailers as required.
Manual Handling & Warehouse Work: Support general warehouse operations and ensure smooth day-to-day running.
Stock Movement: Operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock within the yard and warehouse.
Shift Pattern:
4 on / 4 off
Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Overtime: Available on additional shifts, with higher pay after 45 hours per week
Pay Rate:
£12.95 per hour
Enhanced overtime rates available

Requirements:
Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence
Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
Previous experience as a Yard Person or Shunter
Ability to pass an on-site interview and FLT driving assessment
