Job Title: Forklift Truck Driver
Location: Carlisle- driving licence required due the location of the site
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Shift: 4 on 4 off days (6am to 6pm) and nights (6pm to 6am)
Salary: £13.48 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced FLT Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by safely and efficiently operating forklift trucks to move, load, and unload goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklift trucks in a safe and efficient manner
Load and unload vehicles, ensuring accuracy and safety of goods
Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse
Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant documentation
Carry out routine safety checks and report any defects or maintenance needs
Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures at all times
Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors
Requirements:
Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (e.g., RTITB or ITSSAR-accredited)- desirable
For this role we will consider those with relevant experience from in house licences as well
Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred
Good understanding of warehouse health and safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
