Job Description
Job Title: Experienced FLT Operator (50% Forklift / 50% Pick & Pack)
Location: Newport TF10
Hours: 06:00 – 18:00, rotating shift pattern: 4-on-4-off-4-on-3-off
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Overtime: Time and a quarter after 48 hours per week
Role Overview:
GMP Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established manufacturing company based in Newport TF10 to recruit experienced FLT Operators. This is a temporary-to-permanent role offering excellent career progression and full training.
As an FLT Operator, you will split your time between operating forklift trucks (50%) and performing pick and pack duties (50%). You will not be required to perform wider warehouse duties beyond these core responsibilities. The role is essential to ensuring smooth and safe movement and handling of goods within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
* Load, unload, and transport stock within the facility
* Pick and pack orders accurately, maintaining quality standards
* Monitor equipment performance and report any issues promptly
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Requirements:
* Valid and current FLT license with proven experience operating forklifts
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar FLT operator role
* Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
* Strong attention to detail and safety conscious
* Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required
* Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
