Job Description
Do you have experience within a production or manufacturing environment? Do you consider yourself to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Blunham?
This role is ideal for someone with machine operating experience and a safety-first approach, although training will be provided.
Role - Production Operative - Corrugator Team Member (Pitman Shift)
Location: DS Smith Packaging, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH
Rate: £15.46 per hour (paid breaks), Overtime available for 42+ hours:
OT 1.5 Monday to Saturday
Double time on SundaysContract Length: Temp to Perm (3 months initially)
Shift: Pitman Shift pattern, 6:00 AM/PM to 6:00 PM/AM (12-hour shifts including Days and Nights)
Site Tour: 30th January,2025 with the view to start ASAP
Responsibilities:
Operate machinery safely and efficiently
Ensure productivity and performance targets are met
Maintain consistent quality standards
Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per schedule
Adhere to UK Health and Safety legislation at all times
Support improvement initiatives as neededEssential requirements:
Counterbalance Licence
Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment
Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
Safety-focused with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
Team player, quality-conscious, and adaptable to multi-skilled workingBenefits:
