Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Picker / FLT driver on behalf of a client based in Stafford Park. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling and equipment operation, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing environment. The role will be 50% FLT & 50% Labouring.
Hours of work are 12 hour days, 4 on / 4 off.
Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
* Perform very heavy lifting and assist in the loading and unloading of materials as required.
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
* Conduct basic repairs on equipment as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge.
* Utilise a forklift for transporting materials.
* Maintain accurate records using an inventory tracking system.
* Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of goods.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain a clean work area.
Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with heavy lifting / manual handling techniques and materials handling practices is essential.
* Experience operating forklifts (Counterbalance).
* A strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
