Job Description

Major Recruitment are recruiting FLT Production Operatives on behalf of our prestigious manufacturing client based in Burnley.

This role is ideal for a hardworking, reliable, and punctual individual with a strong background in production or manufacturing environments.

Please note that this position involves heavy lifting and the use of an FLT Counterbalance truck to move materials across site.

A valid external FLT Counterbalance licence is essential; unfortunately, in-house licences cannot be accepted.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Working within a fast-paced production environment

  * Operating production machinery to mix raw materials

  * Setting and monitoring machinery

  * Using an FLT Counterbalance truck to move up to 2-tonne boxes around the site

  * Filling, moving, and weighing product boxes

  * Using the company ERP computer system

  * Operating hand tools safely and effectively

  * Adhering to all site health and safety procedures

Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour (including shift allowance)

Working Hours – Rotating Shifts:

Morning Shift:

Monday to Thursday: 5:30am – 1:30pm

Friday: 5:30am – 12:30pm

Afternoon Shift:

Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm – 9:30pm

Friday: 12:30pm – 6:30pm

Duration: Temporary to Permanent opportunity

Skills and experience required:

  * Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment

  * Previous machine operating experience (highly desirable)

  * Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence

  * Computer literate

  * Reliable and punctual with excellent timekeeping skills

  * Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

  * Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely and effectively
