IRD Recruitment is currently hiring a Yard Operative (Clamp Truck) to support a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity based in Weedon Bec. This hands-on role offers steady weekday hours, a supportive team environment, and the potential for permanent employment.
🏢 Role Overview
Job Title: Yard Operative (Clamp Truck)
Location: Weedon Bec
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 09:00 AM – 17:00 PM
Pay Rate:
£14.00 per hour
🔧 Key Responsibilities
*
Loading scrap machinery into bins using a clamp truck
*
Loading scrap fridges onto open-sided lorries
*
General housekeeping and sweeping within the yard
*
Keeping work areas clean, safe, and organised
*
Assisting with general warehouse housekeeping as needed
✅ Candidate Profile
*
Valid Reach Truck licence (RTITB or ITSSAR recognised)
*
Experience using a clamp truck attachment highly beneficial
*
Comfortable working in an active yard/warehouse environment
*
Strong attention to safety and cleanliness
*
Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
*
Must be available for full-time, weekday hours
