Job Description
Are you an experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) Stores Operator looking for your next opportunity? We’re working with a well-established engineering firm in Plymouth that is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join their busy Stores team on a temporary basis.
About the Role:
As a Stores Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and material handling processes. You'll be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching parts and materials to support ongoing engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
*
Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently (counterbalance and/or reach)
*
Load and unload deliveries
*
Check incoming goods against delivery notes
*
Pick and issue parts and materials to production
*
Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control
*
Keep the stores area clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
About You:
*
Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach, ideally both)
*
Previous experience in a warehouse or engineering stores environment
*
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
*
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
*
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically active role
Contract Details:
*
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
*
Temporary contract (initial duration to be discussed at interview)
*
