We are recruiting for 1 x Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Drivers on behalf of our client in Tamworth to work at a leading manufacturer producing G.R.P (Glass Reinforced Plastic) building products.
The company are a well established company in Tamworth & have been operating for over 40 years.
Hours are 4.30pm - 3am Monday - Thursday (4 DAY WEEK) 1 in 4 Fridays worked 4.30PM - 1AM
This role will be varied involving manual handling as part of a team as well as FLT work. You will be on the FLT around 35% of your shift.
APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE DUE TO NEEDING TO DRIVE FLATBED VAN BETWEEN SITES
Your role will include the following:
Loading & unloading lorries
Shunting stock around the yard and sites
Allocating stock to designated areas
Working as part of a team
Manually lifting items
Moving stock around using the work van so Clean driving licence essential
Experience in the following is essential:
FLT CB Licences must be in date and an accredited licence
Experience working on a FLT in a similar environment
Manual Handling
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to at all times
Excellent Communication Skills
Flexible approach
Good attention to detail
IMMEDIATE START AFTER WALKROUND WITH CLIENT
Initial Registration with MET and then a site interview & walk round with Client
Full training will be given and there are excellent career progression opportunities
