Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Hockley, Birmingham, B18 5AY
Salary: £28K – £29K per annum, DOE + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, occasional weekends)

We are seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician to ensure our products, processes, and facilities meet food safety, quality, and legal standards.
This role involves auditing, data analysis, and promoting a culture of quality across the business.
As our Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician you will be responsible for:
• Conduct internal and external audits of production areas and processes.
• Verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
• Review and maintain accurate documentation and digital records.
• Identify non-conformities and report findings to relevant teams.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
• Enter production and packing data to generate daily reports and KPIs.
• Support traceability and mock recall exercises.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Technical teams.
What We’re Looking For
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
• 1–2 years’ experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food industry.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
It would be great if you had:
• Degree in Food Science.
• HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, Internal Auditing Level 2 certification.
