This company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Safety Coordinator to join their dynamic team.Working across food safety, compliance and new product and packaging development projects this role is a great opportunity to be involved in a lot of processes across quality & food safety.
Salary £35,000 to £45,000 plus Benefits.
What You Will Do:
- Support the sourcing and approval of new suppliers, ensuring quality and food safety standards are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer technologists, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Manage due diligence processes using systems such as Food Experts, Sedex, and BRCGS, while conducting risk assessments.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards.
- Lead new product and packaging development projects, driving innovation and excellence.
- Conduct technical audits at the company's site and across the supply base, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring:
- A solid understanding of legal and environmental regulations relevant to the food industry.
- Strong IT skills, enabling efficient management of systems and processes.
- Excellent communication abilities, ensuring clear and confident interactions with customers and suppliers.
- Experience in food safety and quality assurance, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel both within the UK and overseas as part of the role.
