Interim Food Safety Officer – Norfolk | £35–£40 p/h or Paid Per Inspection | 3-Month Contract
We’re working with a local authority in Norfolk to recruit an experienced Food Safety Officer to complete 100 Category D inspections by the end of February.
This is a flexible interim opportunity, ideal for someone looking to take on a short-term project with autonomy and clear deliverables.
🔹 Key Details:
* Rate: £40–£45 per hour or paid per inspection (negotiable)
* Contract Length: Until end of February (approx. 3 months)
* Location: Norfolk – site visits required
* Hours: Flexible – full-time or part-time considered
🔹 Role Overview:
* Complete 100 Category D food hygiene inspections
* Submit reports and recommendations in line with FSA standards
* Liaise with businesses and council officers as needed
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation of findings
🔹 Requirements:
* EHORB Registered / Competent under FSA Code of Practice
* Experience conducting food hygiene inspections
* Strong report writing and communication skills
* Access to own transport for site visits
