Job Type Full-time, temporary for 4 weeks (potential for long term and permanent employment)

Working Hours

36.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday

7am -3pm shift (this can be slightly flexible)

We're currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join a busy and welcoming catering team in St Andrews. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in providing an excellent customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Food Service Assistant, you'll be involved in a variety of front-of-house and food service duties, including:

Assisting with basic food preparation, including preparing ingredients and supporting food service operations
Preparing counters, displays and service areas before meal service
Serving food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner
Maintaining attractive and well-stocked food displays
Clearing and cleaning tables, dining areas and service points
Carrying out dishwashing and general cleaning duties
Providing excellent customer service to customers and visitors
Responding helpfully and efficiently to customer queries and requests
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety
Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Ideally, You'll Also Have

Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience
An Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH procedures
Experience serving food in a fast-paced environment
