Job Description
A secondary school is seeking a reliable and organised Food Technician to join them on a temporary basis from Monday until Christmas. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in food preparation, catering, or school support roles.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up equipment and ingredients for practical Food lessons
*
Support teaching staff by organising resources ahead of lessons
*
Clean and maintain food technology classrooms, surfaces, and equipment
*
Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are consistently met
*
Safely store ingredients, equipment, and teaching materials
*
Assist with stock checks, ordering supplies, and general departmental tasks
Requirements:
*
Experience as a Food Technician, catering assistant, or similar role (school experience desirable)
*
Strong understanding of Food Safety and hygiene practices
*
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and follow instructions
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
*
Good organisational and communication skills
