Job Description
An outstanding independent school in Bristol is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join its creative and forward-thinking Design & Technology department. The school is committed to delivering a practical and engaging Food Technology curriculum that develops skills in nutrition, food science, and culinary arts.

Main Duties:

Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-Level.

Develop practical and theoretical teaching programmes that cover food preparation, nutrition, hygiene, and food science.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build students’ skills and confidence in the kitchen.
*
Manage practical classroom environments safely and efficiently.
*
Participate in departmental planning and school-wide events such as food fairs or competitions.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Food Technology or Design & Technology teacher with a passion for food education.
*
Able to inspire students with a practical and engaging teaching style.
*
Strong organisational skills and commitment to health and safety in practical lessons.
*
Collaborative team player who is keen to contribute to school life.
*
Enhanced DBS clearance essential.
