An inclusive and high-achieving secondary school in Reading is looking to appoint a Food Technology Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their creative and passionate faculty from September 2025. This full-time, permanent post provides an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or soon-to-be qualified educator to develop their skills in a supportive, innovative environment.

Food Technology Department

Your Role
Plan and deliver interactive, practical lessons that inspire creativity and confidence in the kitchen. Provide timely feedback and support to help all students achieve their potential. Lead extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and food-related competitions. Engage fully with the school’s structured ECT programme offering tailored mentoring and training.
Ideal Candidate
You will hold a degree related to Food Technology or Nutrition and be on track to achieve QTS by July 2025. Excellent communication skills, a passion for practical teaching, and enthusiasm for promoting healthy living are essential. You should be collaborative and committed to continuous professional growth.
