The Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher/Instructor you will play a vital role in nurturing and educating Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 students within a Secondary School in Barrow-in-Furness. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Deescalating challenging behaviour and providing emotional support to students
Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and adapting your teaching strategies accordingly.Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience working with students in a school setting.
Experience of planning, marking and delivering practical Food Tech lessons to others.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to deescalate challenging situations.
A passion for teaching and a commitment to the personal and academic development of students.
Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic educational environment.
