Food Technology Teacher - SEN Secondary School (Brixton, London)
Contract Type: Long Term
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
About the Role
Teach Food Technology across KS3, KS4 & KS5.
Class sizes are small (5-8 students) to ensure personalized learning.
Deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop cooking and catering skills.
Implement Positive Behaviour Strategies and maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment.
What We're Looking For
Experience teaching or working with students with special educational needs, particularly Autism.
Strong practical background in food preparation, catering, or related fields.
Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and students.
Resilience, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
