Job Description

We are currently working with a Specialist school in the Skelmersdale area to recruit for a DT teacher specialising in food to start a long term role from January.

About the Role

You will:

Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to students with a range of additional learning needs.

Create a safe, supportive and practical learning environment in the food tech classroom.

Differentiate lessons to meet individual EHCP targets and diverse learning styles.

Work closely with support staff, therapists and the wider school team to ensure each student thrives.

Monitor progress, provide feedback and contribute to students' personal and academic development.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).

Experience teaching Food Technology (school or college setting).

Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
