Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Food Technology teacher in an OFSTED rated 'Good' Secondary School in Wirral (CH62 area). The role is to start September 2025 and will be a long term placement for the right individual. Successful candidates will be supported by an outstanding and passionate team and will have the chance to work alongside some amazing teachers who put children at the very heart of everything they do. This role is perfect for a teacher at any stage in their career, as it allows you to combine the flexibility of day to day working with the reward of inspiring young students. Responsibilities Must be able to teach Food Technology up to KS4 / GCSE Level Plan, prepare and teach appropriate lessons within your specialist subject area enabling all student abilities to access the curriculum Support colleagues within your department as required Organise your classroom to create a positive teaching environment, liaising with relevant teaching assistants and support staff to develop effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues Maintain discipline through employing various classroom management techniques in line with the school's behaviour management policy Monitor pupil's progress and keep records on their development Attend meetings, parent's evenings and in-service training days as required by the school, helping them in all areas to the best of your abilityRequirements Relevant Undergraduate Degree Hold a qualification with, or leading to UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
