A well-established and highly regarded independent day school in the heart of Bath invites applications for an inspiring Food & Nutrition Teacher. With an ethos grounded in sustainability and real-world learning, this role offers the chance to deliver both the GCSE in Food Preparation & Nutrition and the school’s signature “Gastronomy for Life” enrichment programme, a distinctive course exploring global cuisine, food science, and ethical eating.
The department is housed in a newly refurbished culinary arts centre, boasting six fully networked demonstration kitchens, equipped with industry-standard induction hobs, blast chillers, and sensory evaluation suites. A full-time technician supports lesson preparation and safety.
The school has cultivated strong partnerships with local organic farms, bakers, and cheesemakers, which are integrated into the curriculum through termly visits and collaborative projects. The on-site walled garden and orchard allow students to engage in true ‘farm-to-fork’ learning experiences.
