About the Role:
TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school in Gloucestershire that is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team in September. This full-time role involves teaching Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging, practical lessons that help students develop essential life skills, creativity, and a strong understanding of food, nutrition, and health.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Food Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4
Inspire and engage students to develop practical skills and a love for the subject
Prepare students for practical assessments and GCSE exams
Maintain a safe, well-organised, and fully resourced teaching environment
Work collaboratively with the Technology department and wider school team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
Be passionate about food education and inspiring young learners
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to supporting the school’s high standards and outstanding ethos
