We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Gloucester from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position open to both ECTs and experienced professionals with a flair for creative teaching and practical learning.

The Food Technology facilities include modern kitchens, industrial equipment, and multimedia resources, providing students with an excellent hands-on learning experience.
About the Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching Food and Nutrition at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Delivering practical cooking sessions and theory lessons that promote food safety, nutrition, and creativity.
• Supporting students in developing culinary skills and understanding of food provenance and health.
• Planning lessons and assessments in line with national curriculum expectations.
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation in practical lessons.
• Participating in department planning and whole-school initiatives.
• Contributing to extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and competitions.
Experience and Qualifications
• A degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related subject.
• QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.
• Excellent classroom management and a passion for food education.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team-focused culture.
Salary
This role is paid to national pay scales – MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
