About the Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
• Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity for KS5.
• Plan and deliver lessons that are practical, engaging, and aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Foster a love for food, nutrition, and healthy living.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met during all practical sessions.
• Support and mentor students of varying abilities to achieve their best.
• Work closely with the DT team to develop new resources and schemes of work.
• Engage in extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs, competitions, or events.
• Participate actively in professional development opportunities and department meetings.
Experience and Qualifications
• A degree in Food Technology or a related subject.
• QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.
• A passion for food education and the ability to deliver high-quality, safe practical lessons.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
Salary
Paid to scale – MPS/UPS, based on experience.
