About the Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering Food and Nutrition across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning and delivering practical and theory lessons focused on healthy eating, nutrition, and culinary skills.
• Supporting students in preparing for GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition.
• Promoting safe and hygienic working practices.
• Working closely with DT colleagues to share resources and best practice.
• Leading or supporting cooking clubs and healthy eating initiatives.
• Contributing to whole-school events and celebrations involving food.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or related subject
• PGCE/QTS with DT or Food specialism
• Passion for food education and healthy living
• Ability to deliver practical cooking lessons effectively and safely
• Strong classroom presence and commitment to student progress
Salary
This Food Technology Teacher role is paid on the MPS/UPS scale.
