Job Description
An exceptional secondary school in High Wycombe is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Food Technology Teacher for a full-time role starting in September. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will teach students the essential skills of nutrition, cooking, and food science in a modern and well-equipped kitchen classroom. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative DT team dedicated to delivering high-quality and engaging lessons.
Duties for the Food Technology Teacher include:

Teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE assessments

Planning lessons that incorporate theory, practical skills, and food safety

Encouraging creativity and problem-solving in recipe design and execution
*
Promoting awareness of sustainability and global food issues
*
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and classroom behaviour

Contributing to curriculum development and school-wide health initiatives

Organising enrichment opportunities such as cooking competitions or themed days
Requirements:

A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a relevant subject
*
QTS or PGCE in Design Technology/Food Technology
*
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
*
A passion for practical, hands-on education
