A thriving and highly respected secondary school in Bristol is seeking an inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join its excellent DT faculty in September. The successful Food Technology Teacher will be passionate about nutrition, culinary creativity, and life skills education.
With a growing interest in health, sustainability, and practical skills, the Food Technology Teacher will be instrumental in delivering a subject that truly connects learning with the real world. The department enjoys dedicated kitchens and practical teaching spaces where students can develop their knowledge and creativity.
Your role as a Food Technology Teacher includes:

Teaching Food and Nutrition from KS3 through KS4 (and KS5 for the right candidate).
*
Delivering engaging and practical lessons in food preparation and healthy eating.
*
Promoting sustainability, hygiene, and food safety in every lesson.
*
Working with other Food Technology Teachers on curriculum innovation.
*
Supporting students with controlled assessments and coursework in Food Tech.
*
Organising food-based extracurriculars, clubs, and school events.
*
Contributing to cross-curricular projects linking science, health, and PSHE.
*
Engaging with parents, carers, and local food businesses where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate:

Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or similar field.
*
QTS with experience in teaching Food at secondary level.
*
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to student progress.
*
A team player keen to develop both students and their own pedagogy.
