Food & Nutrition Teacher – Boarding School near Stroud/Gloucester – September 2025 Full-Time, Permanent Role Teach KS3–GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition Health, Lifestyle & Global Cuisine Focus A leading day and boarding school on the outskirts of Gloucester is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join its well-resourced DT faculty from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role involves delivering an inspiring Food & Nutrition curriculum to KS3 and GCSE students, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, global citizenship, and life-long cooking skills. The school champions sustainable food practices and encourages students to develop a critical understanding of health, nutrition, and food production. Facilities include state-of-the-art kitchens and garden-to-table initiatives. Your Role: * Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that combine theory and practical skills * Prepare students for GCSE exams and practical assessments * Lead extracurricular activities such as cookery clubs or farm-to-fork projects * Ensure food hygiene and safety regulations are consistently followed Ideal Candidate: * Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Home Economics, or similar * PGCE with QTS * Proven ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities * Knowledge of current nutritional guidelines and sustainable food practice School Culture: * Award-winning facilities with modern kitchens and garden access * Supportive community with a holistic education ethos * Participation in healthy schools initiatives and international food events Salary: MPS/UPS + excellent independent school benefits package + CPD + potential relocation assistance
