A modern and well-resourced secondary school in Bracknell is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a teacher who wants to inspire young chefs and promote healthy living.
The Role
You will lead engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. There will be opportunities to help grow the department, run enrichment clubs, and support students preparing for hospitality and catering qualifications.
Key responsibilities will include:

Delivering an engaging Food & Nutrition curriculum from KS3 to KS4

Teaching practical cookery skills and food science with health and safety in mind
*
Running extracurricular activities and themed events (e.g., Bake Off, international cuisine weeks)
*
Supporting coursework and assessment for vocational and GCSE pathways
*
Collaborating with colleagues in the wider DT faculty
Who We’re Looking For

QTS and a relevant qualification in Food Technology, Nutrition, or Hospitality
*
Experience teaching food and nutrition at secondary level
*
A hands-on and engaging teaching style
*
Awareness of current health, safety, and hygiene standards
*
Enthusiasm for creative teaching and a collaborative approach
