What you’ll be doing:
Delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students up to Key Stage 4
Planning and preparing lessons that develop students’ cooking, nutrition, and food science knowledge
Managing classroom activities that encourage creativity, safety, and teamwork
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting students’ understanding of healthy eating and sustainable food practices
Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve the Food Technology curriculum
Contributing to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate
The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Food Technology or Design & Technology specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
Experience teaching Food Technology up to Key Stage 4 (KS4)
Excellent classroom management skills
Strong communication skills and a passion for practical learning
