Due to a number of recent contract wins and internal promotions, we are seeking skilled Building Maintenance Engineers to join our established team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and growing business that delivers high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial properties in Central London.
The Role:
As a Building Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial sites.
You’ll be assigned a set of buildings within our client portfolio and provided with a weekly schedule detailing which sites to visit, when, and what tasks to complete. (typically no more then 1 - 2 sites per day)
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, fabric works, and general building services. This is within both land lord and tenant areas
*
Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure all work meets health and safety and company standards.
*
Liaise with clients and on-site staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
*
Complete job sheets, maintenance reports, and any relevant documentation as directed by the helpdesk team.
*
Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively highlight potential issues before they become problems.
*
Work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management within a commercial environment.
*
Recognised qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
*
Electrical certification preferred - up to 18th edition
*
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*
An ability to use PDA's / app to receive and close jobs
