Job Description:
We are working on behalf of a well-established groundworks contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Groundworks Foreman for ongoing projects in the Exeter area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, motivated individual with a strong background in groundworks and site supervision to join a growing team on a long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Supervise and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors
*
Ensure groundworks (foundations, drainage, services, kerbing, etc.) are delivered to high standards
*
Manage daily site activities and keep works on schedule
*
Ensure health & safety compliance on-site at all times
*
Liaise with site management, engineers, and clients
*
Maintain accurate site records and reporting
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman / Supervisor
*
Strong knowledge of all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering
*
SSSTS or SMSTS (required)
*
CSCS Card (Gold or Black preferred)
*
First Aid at Work (preferred)
*
Ability to lead by example and drive productivity on-site
Package:
*
Competitive day rate (Freelance – CIS or PAYE)
*
Permanent position also available for the right candidate
