Job Description
Role Overview:
A Leading National Civil Engineering Contractor are recruiting a Foreman to join their busy Southern Division which specialises on Environment Agency works along the River Thames.
Locations include Guildford and surrounding and across to Reading and beyond.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects.
Typically, the company deliver projects in the following sectors;
Earthworks and remediation
Erosion control and revetments
Fish Passes
River restoration works
Locks and gate refurbishments
Flood Alleviation schemes
Marine Civils Projects
Working under a Foreman, you will be required to make decisions, motivate the team and drive the project towards a timely and profitable finish.
Duties include:
Ordering plant, labour and materials
Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions
Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices
Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently
Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered toThe business will be able to keep you working on the Southern area, offering a variety of projects, security and package that reflects your contribution to the company.
