Job Title: Kitchen and Bathroom Foreman/Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager and Managing Director
Responsible For: Contract Staff
Liaison With: Operations Managers, Trade Contractors, and Residents
Locations Covered: Suffolk Sites and Colchester (as required)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 45 hours per week
Package: Company van with fuel card provided. Tools essential. SSSTS training provided if not already held.
Job Purpose
To supervise and coordinate the workforce responsible for kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works in occupied residential properties. The role requires hands-on involvement, ensuring quality standards, resident satisfaction, and timely delivery of works across multiple social housing sites.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Supervise and oversee all site staff involved in kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects.
2.
Monitor progress and notify following trades when properties are ready for the next phase.
3.
Act as the main point of contact for residents, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption during works.
4.
Carry out site inspections, snagging, and ensure all works meet required standards before handover.
5.
Conduct property handovers upon completion of refurbishment works.
6.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and conduct by all site personnel on client premises.
7.
Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to, including the use of PPE and safe working practices.
8.
Support the team hands-on where needed to help meet deadlines and maintain programme.
9.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of your allocated company vehicle.
10.
Be flexible and adaptable to operational needs, including working at multiple locations.
Additional Responsibilities

Survey kitchens and bathrooms prior to works beginning, including layout assessments and compliance with regulations (training can be provided).
*
Assist with quality control and performance management of contractors and operatives.
*
Work in compliance with asbestos awareness requirements; CAT B certification preferred.
*
Maintain daily site records and communicate effectively with the Operations Manager.
Person Specification
Essential:
*
Experience working on social housing contracts.
*
Trade background (e.g., Kitchen/Bathroom Fitter, Electrician, or Gas Engineer).
*
Strong communication and coordination skills.
*
Valid UK driving licence.
*
Tools and willingness to be hands-on.
Desirable:
*
Knowledge of kitchen and bathroom layouts and building regulations.
*
SSSTS certificate (or willingness to complete training).
*
Asbestos awareness and CAT B certified
