The Opportunity: Are you a forestry enthusiast with a proven track record, adept at fostering client relationships and championing sustainable practices, ready to contribute to a highly respected company? The Forest Manager will tend to a growing portfolio of clients across Devon and Cornwall, understanding and managing their needs whilst overseeing the day-to-day operations and implementing the forestry management plans. In this hybrid role, your ability to establish strong client relationships will be key as you work closely with the wider team to meet business objectives. Role Responsibilities: * To develop and maintain client relationships, providing advice and business support * To manage forestry operations on behalf of the client to agreed standards and budget * To manage and secure any grant funding for clients and ensure full compliance with industry standards * To work collaboratively with the wider team * Explore and secure new business opportunities Skills you will need: Essential: * Proven experience within the forestry sector * Relevant forestry or land-based qualification * Good forestry knowledge and experience of UK forestry standards and grant applications * Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships * Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines * Highly personable with a supportive approach, dedicated to achieving the best outcomes * The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively when required * Passionate and dedicated to the sector * Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of GIS mapping systems * Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (or working towards) * Full UK driving licence Remuneration: A competitive salary, company vehicle, and benefits package commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience
