Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy waste and recycling facility based in Newbury. The role involves the safe movement and handling of recyclable materials, supporting the day-to-day operations of the site.
Key Responsibilities
Operate counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently within the yard and warehouse areas
Load and unload vehicles with waste and recycling materials
Move, stack, and store materials in designated areas
Support sorting and processing operations as required
Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects
Follow all site health, safety, and environmental policies
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth site operations
Requirements
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited)
Previous experience working in a waste management, recycling, or industrial environment preferred
Good awareness of health & safety procedures
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
