Job Description
Our client based in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire is a leading provider of rail transport and maintenance services, and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Forklift Driver (Counterbalance) to join their team as soon as possible!
The role will be temporary on going until further notice and is a part time opportunity, working 10:00 - 14:00, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week).
The pay rate for the role is £13.50 per hour.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts in an industrial rail depot environment, assisting with the movement of materials, equipment and train components.
A valid counterbalance licence is essential along with a minimum of 3 months forklift driving experience.
Duties of the role will include:-
· Safely operative forklifts to move, load and unload materials, spare parts and heavy equipment within the depot and yard area
· Assist in the management of inventory by moving materials to designated storage areas and keeping track of stock
· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE and ensuring a safe working environment
· Assist with the upkeep of the yard, including clearing pathways and ensuring that storage areas are organised
· Ensure that tasks are completed on time and that materials are handled with care to prevent damage
