Job Description
Established in 1981 Richard Austin Alloys Ltd have become one of the UK's largest independent metal stockholders. Specialising in the next day delivery of Aluminium and Stainless Steel, our businesses are all built on the highest levels of customer service. Supplying to key engineering companies across the country. We now have new opportunities for additional Forklift Drivers to join our ever-growing West Midlands operation.
Permanent/Full time position:
Basic weekly hours, dependent on shift 37.5, 42.5 and 44 hours per week, Shifts starting at 10:00, 12:00 & 19:00 with overtime paid at time and half thereafter. 25 days holiday entitlement plus all bank holidays paid.
Day shift £25,750
Night Shift £28,080
The Role:
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient picking and packaging of our metal to various customer.
Ensuring all items are picked correctly with attention to detail.
Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Manual Handling lifting aluminium and stainless steel- physical work.
Complete daily Forklift checks with regards to safety and keep the truck in acceptable condition.
Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
The Person:
The applicant must have had at least 1-2 years' experience Driving a counterbalance Forklift.( gas)
Up to date Forklift Licence, must be recognised by an accredited body
Must be comfortable and confident with Physical work
Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to work well in a team.
Must have good communication skills and a flexible 'can do' attitude to work.
Previous experience is Essential.
