Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Forklift Engineer to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality service and support to a diverse range of clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the client's fleet of forklifts. Working on-site or in the field, you'll play a key role in diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The client is based in Stourbridge, the position comes with routes to progression in your career with ongoing training and development.
Forklift Engineer Job Overview
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on forklifts both on-site and in the workshop.
Conduct thorough inspections in compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Identify and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Travel to customer sites across long distances as required.
Keep detailed and accurate records of all service work and inspections.
Deliver high-quality technical support and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service.
Forklift Engineer Job Requirements
Demonstrated experience in a Forklift Engineer role or a comparable position.
Solid understanding of forklift maintenance, fault-finding, and repair procedures.
Skilled in diagnosing and fixing issues within mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Possession of a full UK driving licence.
Willingness and flexibility to travel to various locations as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on clear communication and excellent customer service.
Competence in using diagnostic tools and basic computer applications for reporting and documentation (preferred but not essential).
Forklift Engineer Salary & Benefits
£17-£21 hourly rate dependant on experience
40-hour week (Monday-Friday 8:00-16:30)
Limited overtime available
31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
Company vehicle and fuel card (Personal use to be discussed at interview)
