Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative – Tilbury Docks
Streamline Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client based within Tilbury Docks.
This is a long-term opportunity offering consistent weekday work, excellent facilities, and the chance to become part of a well-established import and distribution team.
The Role
Working within a busy port-based warehouse, you will be responsible for handling a range of inbound and outbound products including timber panel goods, packaged materials, and general cargo.
This role involves a mix of forklift operation and warehouse coordination, with an emphasis on goods-in and goods-out documentation, rather than heavy lifting.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
*
Operating a Counterbalance forklift to load and unload vehicles, containers, and trailers
*
Checking deliveries against paperwork and recording discrepancies
*
Processing goods-in and goods-out documentation accurately
*
Updating stock locations and assisting with warehouse inventory control
*
Moving and storing pallets safely and efficiently
*
Supporting with wrapping, labelling, and general warehouse duties as required
*
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times
Shift Pattern
*
Monday to Friday
*
Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00–14:00 / 10:00–18:00
*
Overtime opportunities available during busy periods
Pay & Benefits
*
£13.50 – £14.42 per hour, depending on experience and attendance bonus
*
Weekly pay (PAYE)
*
Long-term, ongoing position with potential to go permanent
*

Requirements
*
Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited – in-house licences not accepted)
*
Previous warehouse or logistics experience essential
*
Strong understanding of goods-in / goods-out processes and warehouse paperwork
*
Competent with basic record keeping and stock control
*
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a team environmentBefore You Apply
