Founding Headteacher – British International Nursery (Relocation to Cairo, Egypt required)
We are seeking an experienced Founding Headteacher to lead a new British international EYFS School opening in Cairo in September 2026. The school will offer a high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme for children aged 2–5, with a strong emphasis on child-centred learning, creativity, and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic and operational set-up of the nursery
* Recruit, manage, and support a team of Early Years teachers and assistants
* Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in line with EYFS
* Build strong relationships with parents and the wider community
* Establish a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for young learners
Requirements
* Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS
* Significant leadership experience in Early Years education (preferably in British or international schools)
* Strong understanding of EYFS and best practice in early childhood education
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lead, inspire, and build a team
* NPQH
