Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Fractional Procurement Director to join the team. Salary: £400-£500 a day + bonus incentives Location: Birmingham (office based) Job type: Fractional (1-2 days a month) About the company: The company are home energy efficiency experts who work with homeowners to help alleviate fuel poverty and keep bills as low as possible by connecting them with sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions. They utilise government funding frameworks to help relieve fuel poverty and keep as many households as warm as possible during the winter months. They install a combination of energy-efficient measures that result in lower bills for people whilst helping with the fight against climate change. They are TrustMark certified and supply and install heating, insulation and solar PV. Fractional Procurement Director - Responsibilities: - Your primary responsibility will be to establish and professionalise the company's procurement function - This involves setting up processes, negotiating deals and providing a strategic view to guide the company's future wholesaling ambitions - You will work to secure cost savings for the business achieved through supplier negotiations, establish an efficient and reliable supply chain, and aim for top quality strategic input for future business development (e.g. wholesaling) - You will report directly to the CEO and Board Fractional Procurement Director - You: - Background in the renewables sector, or in the broader construction industry - At least 5 years’ experience in a Head of Procurement/Procurement Director role - A strategic and autonomous professional who is skilled at long-term relationship building - Comfortable taking ownership of the entire procurement function within the company's established fractional leadership model - A high-level, sharp strategic thinker who is also a hands-on coach - Credible, substantive and able to hold their own with an experienced board - The ideal candidate is an "owner" who takes full responsibility for their department and understands how to evolve a successful business Fractional Procurement Director - Benefits: - Green-field opportunity to build a procurement function from scratch - Play a key strategic role in the company's future growth and expansion into wholesaling - A proven and successful fractional leadership model is already in place - A very flexible role ideal for a portfolio professional - Competitive salary & incentives To register your interest in this exciting Fractional Procurement Director opportunity, please click "Apply Now" to submit your CV.
