The Role We are looking for a Freelance Bid Writer to craft compelling, high-quality tender submissions that secure successful outcomes. You will play a key role in helping Rehability UK retain existing contracts and secure new opportunities, directly contributing to our growth and sustainability. This is a hybrid role (with occasional travel)requiring collaboration with colleagues across Operations and Central Teams, while also offering flexibility for home-based working. Key Responsibilities Write and coordinate winning bid submissions across health, adult and children care, and housing services. Collaborate with internal teams to capture Rehability’s expertise and articulate our service offer clearly and persuasively. Interpret tender specifications, evaluation criteria, and commissioner requirements. Work with data, research, and evidence to strengthen bid responses. Complete PQQs and manage submissions via tender portals. Support model and budget development alongside operational colleagues. Maintain a resource library of templates, stock answers, and best-practice materials. Track progress and ensure all deadlines are met. Review, evaluate, and improve submission quality for future tenders. Qualifications & Experience Degree level (desirable) or equivalent experience. Proven track record of successful bid writing (minimum 70% success rate preferred). Previous experience in health and social care, housing, or young people’s services (desirable). Strong portfolio of written work (samples may be requested at interview). Skills & Attributes Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage. Strong proof-reading, editing, and attention to detail. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to interpret and present data clearly and persuasively. Confident working in a fast-paced environment and meeting strict deadlines. IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills. Collaborative and adaptable team player.
