We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to carry out fabric condition surveys on local authority-owned garages across the South Kesteven district. Surveys will be completed using a tablet-based system utilising GoReport, so familiarity with digital data collection tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct condition surveys of garage blocks
Assess and document the condition of external and internal building fabric (including roofs, doors, walls, etc.)
Record findings, including photographic evidence, directly into GoReport on a tablet device
Provide clear, prioritised maintenance recommendations based on survey findings
Liaise with the project manager or client team as requiredRequirements:
Degree or diploma in Building Surveying or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrable experience in fabric condition surveys, ideally on similar property types
Strong knowledge of building pathology and construction materials
Confident using tablet devices and GoReport or similar survey software
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
Professional indemnity and public liability insuranceDesirable:
Experience working on local authority stock
Ability to manage workload independently and deliver surveys to a high standardBefore You Apply
