Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Civils Project Manager to oversee the delivery of civil engineering works on a major power project near Moffat. This role requires strong leadership and technical oversight to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage day-to-day civils activities across the project site.
*
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with quality and HSE standards.
*
Programme management – monitoring progress and reporting against key milestones.
*
Liaise with the client, engineers, and wider project team to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
*
Drive cost, quality, and safety performance throughout the civils package.
*
Prepare and maintain accurate project records, reports, and risk assessments.
Requirements
*
Proven track record as a Project Manager within civils/infrastructure projects
*
Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, and enabling works.
*
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
*
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (preferred).
*
Ability to work independently on a freelance/contract basisBefore You Apply
