Freelance Health & Safety Manager – Major Construction Project
📍 Glasgow | Contract | Start: September 2025
💷 £325–£350/day | Ltd / CIS / PAYE | Monday–Friday | 40 Weeks
Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong background in construction and a passion for high standards? We’re looking for a Freelance Health & Safety Manager to join one of our specialist sub-contractor teams on a fit-out package within a major construction project in Glasgow.

Duration: 40 weeks
*
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
*
Rate: £325–£350 per day (Ltd, CIS or PAYE options available)
🔧 Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for managing health & safety compliance on-site during the delivery of a complex fit-out package. Reporting to the project lead, you will ensure best practices are implemented and all statutory obligations are met.
✅ Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular site inspections and audits
*
Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
*
Support and coach site teams on health & safety practices
*
Ensure compliance with current legislation and company procedures
*
Investigate incidents and report findings appropriately
*
Liaise with the main contractor and other stakeholders regarding safety matters
🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications:
*
NEBOSH Diploma preferred – NEBOSH General Certificate will also be considered
*
Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within construction (fit-out or interiors experience ideal)
*
Strong communication and influencing skills
*
Ability to work independently and proactively manage on-site safety
📍 Location:
Glasgow-based site – must be within commuting distance.
