Freelance Site Manager – Industrial New Build

Location: Slough, Berkshire
Project Value: £7.5M
Rate: £280–£300 per day CIS/Umbrella
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Duration: Ongoing freelance opportunity

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a well-established main contractor on a £7.5M industrial new-build scheme in Slough.

The project involves the construction of a single industrial warehouse unit, and the successful Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing both the internal and external works through the remaining stages of the build.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in industrial, warehouse or logistics projects, looking for an immediate freelance position with an established contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  * Managing day-to-day site operations across internal and external works

  * Coordinating subcontractors and site labour to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme

  * Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality throughout the project

  * Monitoring progress against the construction programme

  * Coordinating works between trades and ensuring effective sequencing

  * Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates

  * Managing site documentation, inspections and quality control

  * Ensuring works are completed to specification and programme

  * Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  * Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial, warehouse or logistics projects

  * Strong experience managing both internal and external works

  * Previous experience delivering new-build industrial units

  * Strong subcontractor management and organisational skills

  * SMSTS

  * CSCS

  * First Aid

  * Excellent communication and leadership skills

  * A strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
