Business Development Executive – Essex

What we offer:

  * Competitive basic salary of £30,000 to £37,500 per annum (approx. £577 to £721 per week), dependent on experience

  * Commission: 10% gross profit on new customers, 5% on customers secured via business information

  * Commission rates reduce to 5% and 2.5% respectively after 12 months, continuing while you work with us

  * Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 working hours

  * Supportive team environment and ongoing training

  * Opportunity to work across multimodal imports (sea, air, road) and expand your network

  * After porbation period - flexible working (home & office)

Your key responsibilities:

  * Identify and secure new business opportunities from your own leads and internal Sales and Operations teams

  * Develop sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight imports

  * Prepare accurate, compliant quotations with all relevant terms and clauses

  * Liaise effectively between Business Development Managers and Customer Service teams

  * Work flexibly both in-office and in the field

We’re looking for someone with:

  * Minimum 2 years’ freight forwarding sales experience, ideally within a small to medium-sized freight forwarder – key with Deep Sea sector

  * GCSE (or equivalent) A-C (4-9) in core subjects

  * Proven sales and negotiation skills

  * Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  * A collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail

  * Ideally, you bring your own business to grow with us
